Family Stuff

I heard today that my grandson Jason has passed his driving test first time and in a couple of weeks he will be taking his advanced. That is hard to do these days as they are far more strict than they used to be.

My youngest is getting married on April 14th this year, his fiance proposed on 29th Feb and they decided not to put it off lol  They have 6 children between them but only look after one full time. She had a miscarriage not long ago and another one a couple of days ago so hopefully they have learnt its not meant to be at this moment and to take more care. The following day they are going to christen the little one and have their marriage blessed in church so gonna be a busy weekend.

I was looking at the family tree stuff and got waylaid as you do and ended up somewhere else but I did find out some useful and interesting stuff about when my grandad carved the replica speakers chairs for Canada and Australia and now have printed a lovely pic in colour. When I first went to get information on this, I had no computer and wrote away to the different people in the countries and got back some B&W info and they were very helpful, it is lovely to see grandads name on the Internet as sculptor.

I am still learning to find my way around this blog lol

Starting out

This is my first entry of my blog. I was watching the programme 'Doctors' on TV and one of the docs was getting hooked on blogging and it made me wonder how you could get hooked on it. So I just had to go and try it out, so here we are.

I don't know who,  if anyone will read this but at least I will have my own journal
It was a sad day yesterday when my son in law's grandad dies after fighting cancer, they were told it wouldn't be long now but it was still a shock when it happened, we feel sorry for the family now having to deal with the real grief of it all. My daughter is dealing with her husbands grief and giving him a lot of support when needed, also to his nan. Grandad was a biggish man with a white beard and resembled father christmas, he loved the kids and was always working and willing to help people.

I don't really know what else to say today but I am glad my blog is now alive
